LEON
COHEN
Leon's acting career began in 1994 when he was cast as
Mordechai Weiss the CSU, Dominguez Hills production of A Shayna Maidel.
By the end of the 1st performance, he was hooked although he wisely did not
give up his day job as a professor/administrator at CSUDH from which he has
since retired after more than 40 years in academe.
He
has now appeared in over 30 stage productions throughout the greater Los
Angeles area. His favorite roles include: Dr Lyman in Bus Stop, Judge
Emile Carpeau in The Deadly Game, Moyshe Alper in Chayefsky's The
10th Man, Jim McKissick in Tales of the Lost Formicans, Morten
Kiil in Ibsen's Enemy of the People, the Old Man in Prelude to a
Kiss, and his 2 roles in CCPT’s 2007 season (the title role in King
Midas and Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing.) Additionally, he
has been seen in limited television and film appearances as well as
commercials.
Leon has performed 8 seasons in Carlson Park; 5 with CCPT
and 3 with TITP. He is a proud member of both SAG and AFTRA.
