Culver City Public Theatre presents “The Misanthrope”, Moliere’s comedy about a man who vows to speak only the truth, no matter what the consequences. It’s outdoors in the park, so blankets and low-profile lawn chairs are advisable for seating. “The Misanthrope”, Paul Carlson Memorial Park, Motor Avenue and Braddock Drive, Culver City. “The Misanthrope”, a French comedy by Moliere and translated by Richard Wilbur is about what happens when the most eligible bachelor in town vows to speak only the truth, regardless of its consequences. The play performed by the Culver City Public Theatre will run at 2pm Saturdays and Sundays until Sept. 3 at Dr. Paul Carlson Memorial Park, at the corner of Motor Avenue and Braddock Drive, in Culver City.
